Starting off our series of programs on sustainability, we talk to Professor Geoff Cockfield from the School of Commerce and Institute of Agriculture and Environment at the University of Southern Queensland.
Geoff grew up on farms in Victoria and Queensland. He worked on the family property before moving over into rural journalism and then into his academic career.
Geoff talks to Kendi Burness-Cowan about the inevitability of change and what urbanisation, roads infrastructure and the NBN will mean for regional Australia. He also talks about the key to keeping regional Australia thriving and the legacy he’d like to leave with his students as they progress through their education.
