Medicine in Indigenous Communities

April 28, 2016
Continuing with our theme of indigenous culture to coincide with NAIDOC celebrations, this week we talk to Dr Oscar Whitehead the Director of Medical Services for the Queensland Division of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Oscar spent most of his career living in the Northern Territory and working as a general practitioner treating patients on Thursday Island and the surrounding islands. Oscar shares with us his background, his story and his vision for the next steps in indigenous healthcare. His story is an important one and we’re glad to share it with you.
